Rodrigo moccasin or slippers style folding travel shoes are made of leather with a leather sole. They stand out for their comfort and are perfect for carrying in your hand luggage and even for travelling in style during a flight. Available in different materials and colors, Rodrigo slippers are a classic of La Portegna. They are also the perfect gift for those who travel frequently.

Our slippers are handmade in Elche (Spain) - a village of craftsmen renowned for their quality since the 19th century.

Instead of using the chrome dyeing process, the Portegna leather is dyed with a unique blend of natural dyes and colours from flowers and tree bark. The leather is treated with olive oil to nourish, soften and make it more robust.

Our process has two benefits over chrome dyeing, it is a natural looking leather that develops a unique "patina" over time. It improves with use and the passage of time and is certainly more sensitive to the environment.
